Behavior-Focused Dog Training

Behavior is communication.

Training creates understanding.

Serving the San Francisco Bay Area

Behind every behavior is a reason

Whether your dog is pulling on leash, reacting to other dogs, struggling with anxiety, or simply learning how to navigate the world, every behavior has meaning.

At Bloodline K9, lasting results begin by understanding why a behavior exists before deciding how to change it.

The first step isn't training. It’s understanding.

Bloodline K9 honors the bond between canine and human.

What We Do

Meet Francesca - Founder

Francesca’s journey as an intuitive canine behavior specialist began when she “foster-failed” her feral college puppy, Gypsy. What started as a rescue quickly became a lifelong mission. Drawing on her background in psychology, Francesca worked tirelessly to understand and help Gypsy overcome anxiety, fear reactivity, and aggression—an experience that sparked her passion for canine behavior and training.

Dog’s have always communicated, most of us simply haven’t been taught how to listen. Bloodline K9 was founded on the belief that understanding behavior is the first step toward lasting change.

Over the past 11 years, Francesca has trained, observed, and cared for hundreds of dogs. Developing a unique approach that blends science, experience, and compassion. She doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all methods. Instead, she tailors her training to each dog, focusing on humane, effective techniques that work in the real world.

Francesca has built curriculums going up to 4 Levels of group classes, launched and led those group classes, puppy programs, and specialized socialization groups in facilities across California and Arizona. She’s developed successful programs for anxious, reactive, and “sensitive” dogs, as well as advanced obedience for service animals, fear aggression rehabilitation, and has some experience in personal protection K9 training.

At Bloodline K9, Francesca’s philosophy is simple: “It doesn’t matter how you get there, as long as it’s humane.”

Her programs build trust, safety, and confidence through predictability, structure, and balanced pack interactions. Dogs are never forced to suppress natural behaviors—instead, they’re guided toward healthy outlets for their instincts.

Francesca believes dogs are more than pets—they’re partners, healers, and family. Her mission is to help people and dogs live healthier, happier, more connected lives while honoring the primal bond that unites them.

Same puppies, same class, taking a structured play/ social break. Our group classes are not a hour of drilling the same commands, we make sure the pups have fun!
